today to earn a little bit of money 

outside of your normal nine to five after this year that we've had we can all do with an extra income stream and I find that people sometimes are a little bit too nervous to start a side hustle don't have an idea to back it up or just don't really know where to start so hopefully these three ideas will help you decide what you can do to add a little bit of extra money on the 

side 

the first side hustle idea and probably the most common that I have seen is creating a product that you can sell 

to a consumer 

now there are several platforms that you can sell products on 

including facebook instagram also 

etsy amazon ebay are a few of the most 

common 

I think the number one issue with 

starting a product 

side hustle is coming up with theproduct that you're going to sell and what I would say for this is to create something that you can sell to a niche is the easiest way to do this obviously, there's lots of candle makers

wax melt makers 

print makers out there and these are great standalone businesses i've also seen especially now with the 

tiktok movement a lot of 

ceramics makers so mugs plates that sort of thing from home 

but also here on the youtube financial 

space there are lots of people making pdfs 

that are downloadable for a couple of 

pounds whether that's a sinking fund tracker a budget tracker or 

an emergency fund tracker there's so 

many out there but I definitely recommend honing in on a niche that you can sell 

to an example that I would have 

from my own experience is this summer me 

and my brother decided to 

make products that my dad could sell on 

his flower stores so 

he runs a flower stall on portobello 

market if anyone is local 

to london and we decided to create a 

product from scratch so bottled it ourselves designed the labels 

found and sourced the product that was 

inside the bottle 

and sell it on his stand and it was a 

really great way to pick up on people that are already buying flowers and then having an add-on product to this I guess we 

could also sell it online but we just 

haven't kind of got around to it we only made 100 units so um it's a really really great product for him and really worked well and a 

great way to bring in a bit of extra 

money outside of 

a full-time job next up is freelancing 

now this is something that I only started doing this year but if you use a skill through your nine-to-five job you know your everyday the 

job 

you can probably use this skill and people will pay for it in your free time so post work five to nine and also on weekends a really great example of this is um graphic designers so those graphic design skills are needed in all shapes and sizes and especially not always during 

a commercial business sense you know a a 

lot of youtubers 

influencers will need someone to help 

with graphic design and this is 

something that you can pay 

per project and earn a bit of side money 

for a 

and it's a great side hustle another one 

is the administration so whether you're um 

maybe you're a pa during nine to five 

and you want to earn a bit of money 

outside you could always do 

virtual assisting outside of your normal 

nine to five and that's actually open 

for anyone that can 

use microsoft and um is really organized A 

really organized virtual assistant is 

a great side 

side business but you can also do 

marketing you could do sales there's 

a few different skills that you could 

replicate in your own 

spare time outside of your nine to five 

to start your own 

side hustle and finally, one that I have 

started 

me historically during university 

and 

after is to be a customer service 

provider so several apps now that 

Providing services to people will require 

customer service teams 

and these are usually remotely based 

zero hours contracts and 

super easy to pick up so one of these 

that I have personally experienced is 

beauty apps so here in london it's very 

popular to get 

beauticians ordered to your house to do 

your eyebrows 

a tan a massage literally anything you 

can think of beautician wise 

there are apps out there that provide 

these services and obviously they all 

need customer service so 

if your beautician is running late who 

do you call someone who is sitting at home 

being a customer service advisor and 

this is a great way to earn money 

outside of your normal hours also what i 

found is that 

the services used for people who do work 

normal 95s 

tend to have their beauty regimes beauty 

people 

turn up in the evening and after work so 

you're kind of working those hours 

anyway and they seem to be the busiest 

but also what I found was that you would 

also be speaking to the beauticians 

themselves say they couldn't find the 

address who did they call head 

office which 

would be the customer service person so 

it's a really great 

contract you do kind of get minimum wage 

right through to 15 pounds an hour 

it's not necessarily starting your own 

side business but it certainly is a side 

hustle and it's a great way to get extra 

income 

outside of your nine to five so there

personally tried and tested 

and have earned a side income from 

myself historically
